Soulja Boy’s stated many times that 50 Cent, with his successful marketing ventures in movies, music, clothes and shoes, is his “biggest inspiration” and Soulja Boy motivates every day to follow in 50’s footsteps. Soulja Boy’s deal with Yum represents his first major attempt to leverage his popularity to branch out beyond music. It’s unclear whether the rapper intends to design his own Soulja Boy shoes.
Here’s the Yum Candy Apple Red kicks (for men AND women) that Soulja Boy was seen wearing on Regis and Kelly in January. They’re $85. They’re NOT Soulja Boy’s designs but may be a hint at what his kicks could look like.
