JoJo Simmons, brother to Pastry designers Angela and Vanessa Simmons, was just starting to get his thing going in season 4 of “Run’s House” when we saw his group Team Blackout get signed to a record label.
A few days ago, Team Blackout’s first video dropped for their track “J5 On ‘Em” featuring DJ Webstar. Their debut album comes out July 8. How do you think dad Rev Run feels about his son following in his famous footsteps? That’s got to be a lot of pressure!
I’m told Team Blackout will be featured again on the upcoming new season of MTV’s Run’s House. The 5th season of Run’s House is airing later this year.
Someone else from “Run’s House” makes a small guest appearance in the video… can you tell who it is?

We don’t have a good picture of the gold button trim at the ankle, but they are the same as the blue denim versions we saw earlier. White jeans are white hot this summer no lie.

Spring 2007 saw the debut of Pastry Kicks by Angela and Vanessa Simmons of MTV’s “Run’s House” with just 4 pairs of shoes. Since then, we’ve seen the line grow to more than 100 different Pastry shoe styles and expansion into matching handbags and apparel.

Are they stopping there? Nosir… V&A have big plans to move into brand new territory later this year. The girls have already finished the fall 2008 collection!
“After the spring 2008 collection comes out, which includes apparel, handbags and new shoes, we’ll be debuting jewelry and lingerie lines. As we move into fall, we want to introduce some more sophisticated and edgy pieces like leather jackets and things like that,” Angela said.
Vanessa and Angela have BIG plans for the fashion world, and they are moving fast. Do you think they’ll succeed?
