Daddy’s Girls Episode 3: Have Your Pastry And Eat It Too

Among the inaugural frenzy, I still managed to watch my favorite show:  Daddy’s Girls!

So this week’s episode, titled “Have Your Pastry And Eat It Too”, the show tells a story about making the right decision when it comes to work and professionalism.  Let’s just begin, shall we?

So in the opening scene, uncle Russell Simmons paid a visit to his nieces’ pad and I gotta say, the guy’s really goofy.

I laughed out loud when he teased Vanessa for mishearing “celulose” for “cellulite”.  Gotta agree with uncle Russ, that’s some major Jessica Simpson right there. LOL!

035

This week, Vanessa, Angela and Jessica are busy setting up their Pastry store. They met up with Solomon and Rasheed and all were excited about the Pastry store opening.

036

The girls then went out to celebrate and got an offer from this dude to be nightclub guest hosts.

038

Errr… I thought he looked a bit creepy!  Well anyway, apparently the offer is pretty good.  Angela and Vanessa are kinda tempted to take it, but being the smart girls they are, they decided to consult Rasheed and Solomon about this.

039

Rasheed and Solomon gave their thoughts about the girls’ overall image on Pastry Shoes and how being party hosts in a nightclub could affect them as role models for the Girl Scouts too.  They talked about brand clarity and quality.

040

And all the advice and discussion gave Vanessa a ‘brain fart’. LOL.

041

In the meantime, Jessica who has been nagging the girls about getting a ‘company car’ checks out a sweet ride with Alycia.  She thinks if Vanessa and Angela take the hosting job, then she’ll get a company car which will make her free from all the hassles of getting taxis.

042

What Jess doesn’t know is… that the sisters are facing a huge dilemma about the whole hosting thing.  So after a LONG contemplation, Angela and Jessica challenge Vanessa to an arm wrestling match.  The condition is: if Angela wins, they’ll take the hosting job, but if Vanessa wins, they’ll stick with the Girl Scouts.

045

And Vanessa lost.  She still tried to talk Angela out of the job offer and see the Girls Scouts first.  Wait, what Pastry Shoes are they wearing there?  Gorgeous!

046

Anyway, thank goodness they’ve set up a meeting with their fans from the Girl Scouts, and if I were them, I’d leave any job offer if faced with such sweet faces…

047

Too cute!!!!!!!

So they decided to decline the club offer.  But this meant they had to break the news to Jessica that she won’t be getting a company car soon.

Jess didn’t look too happy about this, so Vanessa and Angela tried to figure out a way to solve the problem by, again, consulting Rasheed and Solomon.  By the way, have you noticed the difference inside the Pastry Store?  Here’s before they finished setting up the store:

037

And here’s the pimped up version of the store.  Who knows where this store is in LA?

049

Anyway, Angela and Vanessa finally got Jessica a surprise…

050

And Jessica shrieked when she saw the new Pastry Company Car!

052

Definitely a FLY company car.  I love it.

This week Vanessa and Angela didn’t just share their lessons with their dad, Rev. Run, they also shared it with the Girl Scouts.

053

Whew!  If I may say, this is quite a show.  There’s not much action like they did last week, driving around an island or stuff, but I really learned a lot from this episode.  Don’t miss them next week on MTV at 10.30 pm!
