Vanessa and Angela Simmons can’t seem to stop doing good things. If I have medals for their participation on philanthropic acts, I’d surely run out by now. The Simmons sisters will participate in the 9th annual Positive Images of Self Expression (P.I.S.E) fundraiser that brings fashion and philanthropy together, to encourage youth to be their best by supporting the Performing Arts School’s vital youth programs.
Have you heard of the P.I.S.E.? Positive Images of Self-Expression is a nonprofit 503(c)3 full service performing arts school for inner city youth. It was founded by former Alvin Ailey dancer Imani Hayward and Lanet D. Love and ran by professional dancer, Ms. Myisha Richmond. P.I.S.E. has been helping the inner city youth aged 5 to 7 years old change their lives through the wonderful arts for 11 years now. They have many programs including dance, acting and drum classes, voice lessons, modeling and etiquette.
Vanessa and Angela Simmons will feature their Pastry products (along with some other designers) in the 9th Annual Celebrity Fashion Show that’s held to raise funds to support the school. In the artist lineup, there will be teen comedian Lil JJ from Nickelodeon’s Just Jordan, Mary Mary with their gospel wonders, Reggie Hayes, Dee Dee Davis from the Bernie Mac Show, Denyce Lawton from House of Payne, Tatyana Ali, Kyla Pratt from Hotel for Dogs, model Isaac Sullivan from Sean John, Lil C Note from Heroes, Carl a Jeffery from Southland, Raven Godwin from Just Jordan, Trenyce from American Idol and more.
