Seems like it’s only yesterday we heard him rap for the first time, but now Diggy Simmons is a major recording artist! He inked a deal with Atlantic Records much to the delight of the whole Simmons clan.  Diggy tweeted his excitement:

“Taking a tour of the Atlantic offices… This is real surreal right now, its official! Real thankful just takin it all in!”

Angela Simmons, owner of Pastry Shoes and reality TV star who happens to be Diggy’s older sis captured the historic moment in the young rapper’s career and shared her happiness about the signing.

And about the negative tweets by some people about JoJo getting skipped by his little brother, Angela stood up and defended JoJo via her UStream channel and said:

“People need to stop trying to create a competition between my siblings. Trust me if one of us make it we are all happy. Haters out there have nothing better to do with their life than talk about someone else’s, instead criticizing our life, why don’t you try to get your own.”

That’s how you stand up for your sibling.  Don’t you just love the Simmons family?

Oh, and to answer our previous post about Angela Simmons and Rob Kardashian, Angela cleared the air and said she and Robert are nothing but friends:

“I just want to take this time to speak to ya’ll for real about the rumors and stuff people are saying about me in the industry. I am single and I think that it is terrible that as a female I can’t hang out with my male friends without it being said that I am dating them. I have friends just like everyone else and I am not dating every guy that you see me hanging out with.”
