The lovely Simmons sisters were sighted in Beverly Hills yesterday at a BET Awards pre-event. The awards show is on Tuesday and lots of celebs are in LA for the event. Will the cast of Run’s House make an appearance?

Rev Run and his brood beat down MAJAH shows in this category: Dancing with the Stars, America’s Next Top Model, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, and even American Idol. The NAACP Image Awards commemorates outstanding achievements and performances of people of color in the arts as well as those who promote social justice. Congrats to Angela, JoJo, Russy, Justine, Diggy, Rev Run and Vanessa Simmons!

Justine Simmons: stepmom and wife of Rev Run. How is she coping with new baby Miley in the house?
JoJo Simmons: Oldest brother. He just got his group Team Blackout signed to a label in season 4. Dad was a producer. How did the recording sessions go?
Diggy and Russy Simmons: Youngest brothers. How are they doing in school? Did they get into any trouble?
Joseph “Rev Run” Simmons: Dad Rev Run toured the east coast with his buddy Kid Rock over the spring. Did they get a good turnout at the shows, and can he still bring it on like back in the day with Run DMC?
Vanessa Simmons: Her acting career is taking off but so is PASTRY. How is she able to juggle both?
Angela Simmons: Is she having to pick up the slack at the Pastry office since Vanessa is doing movies now?
Spring 2007 saw the debut of Pastry Kicks by Angela and Vanessa Simmons of MTV’s “Run’s House” with just 4 pairs of shoes. Since then, we’ve seen the line grow to more than 100 different Pastry shoe styles and expansion into matching handbags and apparel.

Are they stopping there? Nosir… V&A have big plans to move into brand new territory later this year. The girls have already finished the fall 2008 collection!
“After the spring 2008 collection comes out, which includes apparel, handbags and new shoes, we’ll be debuting jewelry and lingerie lines. As we move into fall, we want to introduce some more sophisticated and edgy pieces like leather jackets and things like that,” Angela said.
Vanessa and Angela have BIG plans for the fashion world, and they are moving fast. Do you think they’ll succeed?

V sez that Run’s House is not “The Hills” (the “reality” TV show known for its fake scripted drama) — she says there’s no scripts on Run’s House and it’s “all natural”.
Vanessa also says that she and Angela are writing a book. This is not real surprising, given practically her whole family has published at least one book if not more. The Simmons authors include dad Joseph “Rev Run” Simmons, stepmom Justine Simmons, uncle Russell Simmons and ex-auntie Kimora Lee Simmons.

What’s new with yours and Angela’s Pastry label?
We’re still working on it and it’s going to expand into clothing, jewelry, more sneakers and bags. There’s also a Valentine’s set with sneakers and a bag coming out in February.
I saw the episode of Run’s House where you both came up with the concept. Will you be filming another series of the show?
We’re just starting to do Season 5 which is exciting.
How much of what happens is natural or is it based loosely on a script?
It’s all real life situations and things that have happened to us. It’s all natural.
