Pastry shoes co-founder and owner, Vanessa Simmons, was seen at the Svedka Vodka Sessions presented by Giant Step on November 18, 2009 in West Hollywood, California. For a party, Vanessa didn’t put too much make-up and look how fabulous she looks.

Girl’s got a real good complexion. And a good pair of jeans too. Looks like ripped jeans are in again, people. Take notes, now. Let’s see ‘em from a distance.

They’re skinny, they’re ripped and they’re beyond cool. You can cop Vanessa’s style by getting into the trend with this fantastic Baby Phat cat ripped jeans. At $40.99, it’s a good investment for your wardrobe.
If you look again, Vanessa’s outfit is actually really simple. Add a fake fur vest and you’ll be glammed-up in a sec. COOGI has a fake fur vest and again, at $80.99 it’s a real investment because it’s black and goes with everything.
And to complete the look, add a pair of black Pastry Fiorellino Heels. They’re now down to $46.99 at DrJays!

The Simmons sisters will be busy again this weekend as both Vanessa and Angela will attend the annual gala Dallas Rocks 2009: Diamond Dinner benefiting Diamond Empowerment Fund (D.E.F.) honoring Bush twins, Barbara Bush and Jenna Bush Hager.
Vanessa and Angela Simmons will present Bush twins, Barbara bush and Jenna Bush Hager with the Rising Star Empowerment Award. As we all know, Vanessa and Angela are nieces of the founder of the Diamond Empowerment Fund, Russell Simmons, who founded D.E.F. in 2007. Uncle Russ and Anthony Anderson of Law and Order are hosts of the event. Did you know that last year in 2008, the Dallas Rocks gala raised $250,000 benefiting D.E.F.? The organization helps to benefit CIDA (Community and Individual Development Association) and African Leadership Academy, both based in Johannesburg, South Africa. These kinds of gala dinners are not the only way for them to raise funds. Remember the Malachite Green Bracelet? The symbol of the cause itself has raised more than $650,000 for the fund to date. D.E.F. members include individuals in the diamond and jewelry industries and others who are committed to the empowerment of Africa.
Barbara Bush is the president and co-founder of Global Health Corps. She’s also active as a member of UNICEF’s Next Generation steering Committe. Her twin, Jenna Bush Hager is a teacher and a contributing correspondent for the Today Show.
The Bush twins won’t be the only ones receiving awards. Other honorees include Marilyn Auger, founder of the Marilyn Auger Family Foundation, a Dallas-based nonprofit that seeks to break the cycle of poverty. There’s also former NBA athlete, Dikembe Mutombo, who’ll receive an honor for the Dikembe Mutombo Foundation, which seeks to improve living conditions in his native, Congo.
The event is going to take place on November 14, 2009 from 6:30 P.M. to 1:00 A.M. at the Dallas Historic Union Station. If you decide to go there just to catch a glimpse of the Simmons Sisters, good luck to you. And just an insider info: Rev. Run and Justine Simmons are going to be there and it’s gonna be Rev. Run’s birthday on the same night of the gala.
So you have seen Vanessa Simmons’ new hairdo, and with the bangs, you’d think she won’t really care about her eyebrows. See, now that’s where you’re wrong. Vanessa is a beautiful girl who cares a lot about her appearance details and who says having bangs means you can neglect your eyebrows? The Pastry co-founder was spotted at Anastasia’s Salon in Beverly Hills just recently. Anastasia is Hollywood’s Eyebrow Guru who’s done the gorgeous arches above Hollywood’s A-listers’ eyes such as Oprah, Madonna, Kim Kardashian and now Vanessa Simmons.

Getting consultation from the guru herself. Vanessa Simmons is such a lucky girl. No wonder she looks gorgeous.
But do you know why eyebrows are very important part of someone’s face? Well because they affect your entire look and ‘mood’ for the day. If not well-taken care of, you’d be stuck with the wrong arch, looking upset and surprised until the rest grow back. That wouldn’t be too funny.

Yep, she looked great. Looks like she’s still sporting the off-shoulder look. Is this still hot, Pastryheads?

So we all know Pastry and Baby Phat are kinda related because Pastry is owned by Vanessa and Angela Simmons, and Baby Phat is owned by their aunt, Kimora Lee Simmons. But today we think they’re almost too closely related. Take a look at this upcoming Baby Phat sneaker held by Baby Phat’s newest spokesperson, Kristina DeBarge.

Now, don’t you feel it’s a little bit similar to the Pastry Black Current Vulc Glam Pie Hi-tops?
Which one would you rock, Pastryheads?
a. Sorry, aunt Kimora, The Baby Phat sneaker is nice, but I’ll be staying true to Nessa and Ang, and my Pastry shoes.
b. Hey actually this time I would like to try something new. Baby Phat it is today.
c. I’d rock both kicks because they are just equally awesome!
They do everything together, from growing up to forming their own shoe line, Pastry shoes, and starring in their own reality show, Daddy’s Girls. Vanessa and Angela Simmons’ lives seem to go really well these days, and here they are now sharing their thoughts about being successful and how family and sisterhood plays a big part in the process.
Vanessa and Angela sure have become the role models of teenagers everywhere. Although they have divorced parents, both are blessed with wonderful stepparents and do note Angela’s thought:
“To me, though, that’s [having a big family] not the only thing that can get you success. Say you don’t have a big family, you’re gonna have to cling on to the ones that you do have and who will always be there for you and go to them for advice. I mean, if you only have your grandma, that person will be there with you throughout everything. Because I know some people don’t have the luxury of having a large family, but we just happen to have one, so yeah, it’s definitely been a help.”
Do you agree with Angela, Pastryheads?
