Last summer, Joseph “Rev Run” Simmons put the family home up for sale… the same one we’ve been watching on their reality tv show MTV’s “Run’s House”.
The columned Colonial in Saddle River, NJ which recently received a “top-to-bottom” renovation from Run’s wife Justine, according to the New York Daily News, sits on two acres of land and includes six bedrooms, five bathrooms, three fireplaces, a home theater, sound studio, lounge and hot tub.
“For all its grandeur, it’s still a home,” Jeffrey Checkley of Weichert Realtors, the Simmons’ estate agent, told the Daily News. “[Justine] is a wonderful decorator and has a great eye for understated elegance. They’ve created a wonderful environment.”
The couple purchased the home that serves as the backdrop for their MTV reality series in 2003 for $1.6 million, according to the Daily News. Run and Justine spent much of their four years living there in fix-up mode.
That must have been some crazy extreme makeover, since the crib was listed last year for $5.5 million.
“They completely renovated the home from the ground up and are looking for a new project,” Checkley told the Daily News.
Update: The real estate listing has since been taken down. Taping of the 5th season of Run’s House has allegedly already begun.
Will the Simmons family be in brand new digs for season 5? Or will we see them shooting hoops again in the Run DMC basketball court?

i think your house is absolutely lovely. but its not the house itself that makes it spectacular – it’s the family and what takes place there. love the show and love your inner action with each other and your family – uncle russell and others. i am a huge fan. thanks for bringing everything back to God – without him we are nothing or would have nothing.

I like their house and it is so beatuiful and I don’t think they should move but at the same time they should so it’s all up tho them I just want to be part of their family and live in what every house they decide to live in because run’s house is my favorite show.
