Wow, that’s a LOT of Pastry shoes!
So, which one do you like better, Pastryheads? The heel or the hi-top?
**MAJOR UPDATE**
Okay, Angela Simmons just uploaded these on her Twitter as well. Â Which one do you like best?
Very cute running shoe!
And finally a BOOT! Â Loves it!
Vanessa and Angela Simmons’ cousins, Ming and Aoki, had their stepbrother, Kenzo, in late 2009 and their family couldn’t be happier. Â You see, Ming and Aoki’s mom, Kimora Lee Simmons split from dad, Russell Simmons, and is now married to actor Djimon Hounsou, and had baby Kenzo. Â Now, in some families, this whole thing could be dramatic and not so pleasant. Â But in the Simmons household, all they feel is love. Â Aunt Kimora stated:
“I feel like my life has fallen into the right place in a great way. I’ve been very slow and deliberate, and I feel like it has paid off for me in ways that I could not have imagined.”
Last year, uncle Russell Simmons wrote a beautiful open letter to his ex-wife, praising and thanking her for raising Ming and Aoki so beautifully, do you remember? Here’s an excerpt of the letter:
“…to me, she has been my partner, best friend, consultant, confidant and basically the greatest mother I could ever hope for, for my daughters. I feel so blessed to continue to have such a great personal and professional relationship with her. Every time I spend time with our girls, I credit her for giving them their manners, thoughtfulness, intelligence, beauty and kindness.”
We’re convinced that if all families are like theirs, then this world would be a much better place. Â Seriously.
So, what do you think about baby Kenzo’s first family picture?
A huge 7.0-magnitude earthquake hit Haiti, late Tuesday afternoon, and most areas in its capital, Port-au-Prince is under severely damaged condition. Â Although no number of death toll has been confirmed yet, hundreds of thousands of people are feared to have been killed, following the devastating disaster. Â The world immediately turned its attention to the suffering country, especially from public figures with close ties to Haiti such as musician, Wyclef Jean, who was born in Haiti and “Heroes” actor, Jimmy Jean-Louis, who in the series played a character called “The Haitian”.
The Simmons sisters haven’t got such close bonds to Haiti, but the girls do care a lot and very aware of what’s going on. Â The awareness doesn’t only involve Vanessa and Angela Simmons, their cousin Jessica and friend, Shawna from their reality series, Daddy’s Girls, also showed concerns about the Haiti devastation.
Shawna tweeted earlier:
Just made my donation! How about you? TEXT YELE 501 501 @wyclef IF U DON’T HAVE $ AT LEAST PRAY…#YELE (PLS RT) http://www.yele.org/ 4
Talking to my dad about putting on something to help rasie money for Haiti @angelasimmons @v_simmons we should get on it.
Which Vanessa Simmons replied with:
@shawnagaspard ive been thinking of ways all day!! lets connect and do SOMETHING! #helphaiti
WOW! UPS is shipping anything under 50 lbs to haiti FOR FREE! thats cool #noexcusenottohelp
Ok u have to donate to thru redcross first…but still worth it
And Jessica tweeted:
if each one of my followers donates $5 to help @wyclef & Haiti by textn YELE to 501501 we can raise $159,150..that would b a tremendous help
Meanwhile, although not saying anything much, Angela Simmons kept re-tweeting Jessica and Vanessa’s tweets about Haiti and showing her concerns by doing so. Â Looks like all the Daddy’s Girls gang, like us, are also saddened by the tragedy. Maybe some of you still have no idea on how bad things are in Haiti, right now? Well here are some pictures to give you an idea.
Really heartbreaking. Let’s all help the Haitians, Pastryheads. Â You can go to http://american.redcross.org to find out how you can help provide relief to the earthquake victims.
Let’s take the spotlight off sisters Vanessa and Angela Simmons for a while. Â We know this is a blog about their hot shoe and clothing line: Pastry, but this is too good to pass. Â Besides, if you love Vanessa and Angela, you usually love the whole family too, right?
Well this weekend, it’s our pleasure to give you a sneak peek of what went down in the 10th Annual Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation youth holiday party at The Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza. Â Why? Â Because the Simmons men were all there, from Rev. Run, JoJo Simmons, Russy Simmons and the busy bee: Diggy Simmons. Â Diggy rapped in front of the audience and his performance was well-received. Â As you might already know, Diggy has recently released his mixtape: “The First Flight”. Â So enjoy the pictures, Pastryheads, and have a great weekend!
Ok, who’s crushing hard on Diggy right now? Spill!
As previously reported by PastryShoesCollection.com, the Simmons Sisters spent last weekend in Dallas at the Dallas Rocks Benefit Dinner, hosted by their uncle Russell Simmons Diamond Dinner benefiting Diamond Empowerment Fund (D.E.F.) honoring Barbara Bush and Jenna Bush Hager. Vanessa and Angela looked fantastic. Â Today it’s all about the pictures!
Vanessa and Angela with Barbara Bush and Jenna Bush-Hager. Â Girls, you all look fabulous.
That is an interesting backside of Angela’s dress. Â And look at those Malachite bracelets! Â The girls clearly supports the Diamond Empowerment Fund set up by their uncle Russell. Â By the way, we’re starting to feel Vanessa’s bangs.
Angela and Vanessa weren’t the only ones there. In fact the whole Simmons clan were there. Â It was a family affair!
Of course they were all there, it was Rev. Run’s 41st birthday too. Â Loving the birthday cake!
And Rev wasn’t the only one getting love. Â Justine Simmons also got love from the girls and they looked soooo cute!
While Rev Run hung out with his boys. Â Don’t you just love to see the Simmons boys in a full-formation?
And last but not least… the man of the hour, Uncle Russell Simmons.
Loving this family more and more!
We all know the economy is not exactly at its best. But we all still have to buy stuff (read: Pastry Shoes). Russell Simmons, the philanthropist, entrepreneur and uncle to Vanessa and Angela Simmons created something different that can help us all in controlling our personal finances -especially avid shoppers like us!
Introducing: the RushCard.
RushCard comes in two versions, the RushCard you can see in the picture; Â the black and pink Baby Phat design. With options for a ‘pay as you go’ plan and a monthly plan, both cards offer:
There are additional features which will make you be able to…
What’s good about a pre-paid card like RushCard compared to a bank-issued card in a way is that there’s no more overdraft bills and you’ll be basically free from general spam mail from the bank. However there are transaction fees that come with these types of cards, so that’s something to watch out for. But hey, it’s all better, anyway.
Did you know that by now, there’s already over 2 million people helped out by RushCard?
In this economy downfall, RushCard seems like a good card to hold on to as they have an optional service that helps build a positive credit rating by reporting the regular bill payments you make with your card to participating credit reporting agencies.
RushCard is the only prepaid card that has this service for their customers.
So how do one get a RushCard? Well, all you need to get approved is your social security number and be over 18. What do you think, Pastryheads?
Go here to get approved instantly for the RushCard.
