Vanessa Simmons partied it up in Miami after the successful Pastry Rock The Mall in Aventura event.
And she’s teasing us with the colorful Pastry bracelets (oh yes I am sure it’s a Pastry thing). I’m loving her pearl-necklace look there. The Simmons Sisters are indeed in love with their pearls, aren’t they? They sure love accessories because as a Simmons, you just gotta have to. Their uncle Russell Simmons is the owner of Simmons Jewelry which got their aunt Kimora’s Baby Phat jewelry and their stepmom, Justine’s Brown Sugar jewelry (which launched its Spring/Summer 2009 collection at HSN. And now Vanessa and Angela are soon to launch their own Pastry Jewelry, and I’ll bet their uncle Russ will play a huge part in making that all a huge success too.

I never really liked drawstring backpacks before, but Vanessa and Angela Simmons have created one that is really elegant and it reminds me of my cute jewelry pouches to keep my precious jewelries. This one is clearly bigger and it can keep most of my everyday stuff (which are also precious, mind you).
I especially love the quilt accent which is classy and the yummy sprinkles that add extra delicious flavors to this really simple sack. I think it will be a perfect companion for those slow lazy weekends when we just wanna have long walks in the park with our hands free to… I dunno, hold someone special’s hands maybe? LOL.

Vanessa Simmons gives us a sneak preview of the Pastry accessories line that’s coming this fall. She did a tour around the Pastry booth at the MAGIC Convention in Las Vegas last month, and I am literally drooling over the goodies. There were a LOT of Pastry watches, hats and scarves… and if you look a little closely, there is brand new Pastry clothing everywhere that we have never seen before!

I am dying for those watches. How cool is it to have your watch match your shoes? It’s beyond high fashion! Digitals, analogs… whatever… they look sooo yummy and oh-so-glam. I can’t wait for ’em to drop so I can wear ’em on my wrist!!

This is exactly why I can never be a designer. First I’m not that good in drawing, and second… I wouldn’t be able to answer this simple question:
“What’s your favorite from all your designs?”
I would answer: “Are you kidding, of course I love ’em all!” LOL.
And that’s why the Simmons Sisters, Vanessa and Angela, are much better designers than I’ll ever be, because they answer pretty easily without playing favorites, when asked “Which Pastry item do you like best?”. Take a look at this video.
What do you think about the items V&A picked as their faves? It’s a shame because NONE of them are available right now. The Neo Berry fanny pack and the Candy Chukka sold out a longs time ago. The Double Delight colorway hasn’t been released yet. Grrrrr
