Battle of Angela Simmons’ Exes

So skateboarder/rapper/clothing designer Terry Kennedy, best known as TK or Angela Simmons’ ex, was caught on camera yesterday, saying not so very nice things about Angela Simmons’ other ex, Bow Wow.  Actually the two have been beefing for quite some time via Twitter, internet videos and public interviews.  These two seem pretty troubled, because neither are with Angela Simmons anymore, yet word has it that the beginning of the tension started over Angela.  There’s no information who started what and where, but Ballerstatus.com reported that they’re beefing either over jealousy or one hating on the other.

TK said the beef is over now but he’s still saying that Bow Wow is a coward.  There’s actually a video of him being interviewed by Broccoli City, but due to the excessive profanity, PastryShoesCollection.com will not post it.  Here’s a quote of TK’s last words.

“I guess every time he’d bump into somebody and ask them about me, they’d give him the history on me. After that, he ended up trying to call me saying ‘I ain’t got nothing against you, it’s all love.’ I hate to tackle the situation, but he’s a coward.”

Whoa, that is harsh.  You sure the beef is “over”, TK?

It’s not surprising if these two guys are still not over the beef, because maybe they’re really not over Angela Simmons.  Because why would they still hate on each other?  The relationships are history and this sort of beefing is not gonna bring ’em back anyway.  Afterall, would Rev. Run approve of TK and Bow Wow now after all this?

Angela Simmons has not made any comments on this matter, and she really doesn’t need this kind of thing right now.  She’s got too much going on that’s way better than worrying about them boys, like her new Texas-resident boyfriend, working on her Pastry Shoes with her sister Vanessa Simmons and of course, filming their reality shows “Run’s House” and “Daddy’s Girls”.  Just a slight reminder that Run’s House is back now on its sixth season and it airs every Monday at 10 pm on MTV.

Run’s House Episode 2: JoJo’s “Oops” Moment

The week is breezing past so quickly and before you know it, it’s already Monday. And you know what’s on Monday, it’s a whole new episode of Run’s House! On the second episode of Run’s House that was aired Monday, June 22, Rev. Run and the rest of the Simmons family confronted JoJo Simmons’ arrest for illegal substances possession last month. If you’ve read or heard about this, maybe you know about how Vanessa and Angela stood up for their brother and supported him via Twitter and interviews. Vanessa Simmons tweeted:

“As humans we all make mistakes. They make up your life lessons and experiences. JoJo is ok, he just made a[n] oops.”

The family was upset, even Diggy and Russy.  It’s heartbreaking to see their expression when Justine told them that JoJo had to spend the night in jail.

People have been talking about how the family especially Rev. Run will take this, but how about JoJo himself? Turns out that after being talked-to by Rev. Run, JoJo talks to his little brothers about how important it is to be responsible.

And as he explained to his sisters (who flew in from LA without JoJo knowing):

“I can’t be that stupid… Russy doesn’t understand fully. Diggy do, but he’s about to go to high school and that’s where it all started for me.”

Rev. Run was also being reminded of his past by Uncle Russell, his brother and Def Jam co-founder. Rev. Run used to tour with his group Run D.M.C., and they had some wild past together.

Uncle Russell also talked to JoJo and finally Rev. Run had a turn.  It’s all based on love and the Simmons are keepin’ it real as usual.  Remember what Uncle Russell said to JoJo, Pastryheads: “Smoking weed makes your brain go slow and it will lead you to do stupid things.”

Run’s House Season Premiere!

So did anybody watch the premiere of Run’s House season 6 last night?  There are a few notable moments and fun stuff to comment on, so here we go!

Vanessa and Angela Simmons left their busy life filming Daddy’s Girls in LA for a much needed vacation in Hawaii with the fam. They brought along Cousin Jessica who’s looking for a little holiday romance. They arrived early and greeted the rest of the Simmonses as they arrived.

grandma-and-miley

Grandma was there too and baby Miley isn’t exactly a baby anymore.  She’s a very smart toddler who’s been playing with flashcards and she’s actually great at it.  Smart kid!

kayaking

Family bonding, Simmons style.  Vanessa and Jessica ended up winning the kayak race, although Angela and Diggy said they were cheating.  Most important thing is they had major fun.

russy-surfing

Lovin’ Russy’s shark phobia.  The surf instructor had to give him a shark tooth necklace for him to get protection, but Rev. Run set Russ straight that the only protection is from God.  Russy finally overcame his fear and he surfed like a pro.

diggy-surfing

Speaking of pros, don’t you think Diggy is quite masterful in the surfing department?

He’s also quite good in the hula department.  Jojo finally got to have some fun after stressing out about Uncle Russell Simmons’ text message.

Okay, judging from the facial expression, who do you think was calmer about the flying fox ride? LOL.  But that’s the Simmons girls, they look fly even when they’re flying.

Now, there’s a LOT of different sunglasses in the hour-long episode.  Do you think they’re Pastry sunglasses?  Even if they’re not, they made the girls look fab anyway.  Which one do you like best?

And finally, Rev. Run and Justine who got so little alone time. They’re so adorable.

Rev. Run’s Wisdom To Dads And Husbands Everywhere

The troubled marriage of Jon & Kate Gosselin of Jon & Kate Plus 8 has been the fodder of every tabloid in the country.  Who are these people? They’re a couple with eight kids; that’s a pair of twins (Cara Nicole and Madeline Kate), and sextuplets. The Gosselins have their own reality show on TLC, filming their daily life and such. But lately there is gossip that Jon and Kate are no longer the happy parents they once were.

Joseph “Rev. Run” Simmons, who has six kids himself (and that’s Vanessa, Angela, Jojo, Diggy, Russy and Miley), offered some wisdom to the Gosselins -and I’m sure for parents anywhere, too. Rev. Run told People magazine that he and Justine have avoided the troubles that now the Gosselins suffer by keeping their eyes on what they cherish.

“If you cherish your wife and kids, that’s where your energy goes. We’re not extremely ambitious to be these big stars. We hope to inspire people to see the value of being a family.”

Rev. Run and Justine are also romantics at heart.

“Justine woke up the other day and e-mailed me a letter about how much she loves me and how happy she is to be my lover and my friend.  Then we downloaded the song by Jason Mraz ‘Lucky to Be In Love with My Best Friend’ and we just listened to it all day in our bedroom.”

Aaawww… that’s sooo sweet!!  Wonder if their kids are as romantic as they are!

The Simmons are not trouble-free, though.  This season of Run’s House is probably going to be the most turbulent of all as we’ll get to see Rev. Run’s employ some tough love for Jojo.  Rev deliberately throws back the covers  when Jojo gets arrested due to possession of illegal substances:

“When JoJo goes through his situation, I bring the cameras in.  We’re going to take the fans through every tough time to show them how to pull together as a family.” Source

Rev. Run saw this as a learning experience for his family.  Talk about turning lemons into lemonade.

If you love the Simmons, you’re in love with the right family. On that note, remember Pastryheads: don’t miss Run’s House, Mondays at 10 pm on MTV.

simmons-family

It’s great that Run’s House is returning to MTV, and now MTV is rewarding us with a Run’s House Father’s Day Marathon on Sunday, June 21 at 5 pm, ET/PT. A press release from MTV says that we can see Rev’s favorite past and new episodes, as a way to honor fathers everywhere.

Among the clips, there will be the family Hawaii vacation from the new season, plus the serious side of Rev. Run when JoJo was arrested for possession of illegal substances. We will see how a dad keeps a bi-coastal family solid as a rock– Vanessa and Angela are now on the west coast, busy with their Daddy’s Girls show and Pastry Shoes.

Aside of that, I see a lot of Diggy and Russy fans among y’all. Well guess what, Diggy and Russy will be the voices of a special tribute to some of your favorite celebrity dads. There’s no word on who the favorite dads are, but MTV promised that the marathon will feature all “Dad and me” moments from the past five seasons of Run’s House.

Rev. Run and Justine Simmons To Build Bronx Playground

Calling all Pastry Fans in the Bronx!

Meet and greet Rev. Run and his wife, Justine Simmons, on June 18 at the Odyssey House, 1328 Clinton Avenue, Bronx, NY at 8.30 a.m. as they will kick off a playground-building project.

We’ve reported before that Rev. Run is the spokesperson of Kool Aid’s KaBoom! playground initiative.  This is only one of the 220 and more playgrounds that will be built and organized by KaBoom! across the country.

The organizers stated that this first playground in the Bronx will benefit more than 7,500 children. Rev Run and Justine partnered up with KaBoom!, Kool-Aid and more than 200 volunteers to help build the Odyssey House playground, with one goal: to promote how important it is for children to go outside to play and to remind their parents to encourage their kids to do so.

I have to agree with them. Kids today watch too much TV anyway. The only shows they must not miss are Run’s House and of course, Daddy’s Girls. The rest of the day, go play. Plus: how else are y’all gonna show off your Pastry shoes if you’re not outside of the house? Am I right?

If you wanna get involved in the initiative, visit KaBoom!’s official website today.
