The last episode of Run’s House was just okay instead of excellent, telling viewers how Rev. Run made a deal with JoJo that if he can cook a ‘healthy’ fried chicken, he can get the keys of the Phantom and drive it to the city. First of all, there’s no such thing as a ‘healthy’ fried chicken, and second of all… turned out that JoJo didn’t get to drive the Phantom to the city. Another story arc was Justine, Diggy and Russy begging Rev. Run for a puppy to be their dog Pal’s friend, but no matter how hard the three tried to train Pal -as this was a requirement from Rev. Run, they still didn’t get a dog. True it’s good not to give in all the time to everybody, but well, the episode wasn’t all cheerful.
However, there are some notable moments from the show:

Don’t you just love Angela’s expression when she tries out JoJo’s chicken?
And didn’t you just laugh out loud when Vanessa hugged JoJo and he made this face? Siblings! LOL. Look at that headpiece on Angela’s head. Way cute.
Looks like Angela’s looking fly. But the Daddy’s Girls star doesn’t look cold thanks to that off-shoulder top. The rest of the family looked like they’re living on ice. But they face the chills with style.
Even when she’s chillin’ at home, Vanessa Simmons always managed to look stylish. Here she paired an oversized Adidas hoodie with a set of leggings and thigh-high socks.
Hang on, is that Russy? When did he grow up? He looks great in that bomber jacket!
Not to be outdone by his little brother, Diggy Simmons paired a striped hoodie with this black bomber vest. Nice look for an aspiring fashionista, Dig.
Although the chicken-frying gig didn’t work for him, JoJo Simmons scored big on the fly factor with this striped hoodie.
Justine looked HOT in this coat. Tell you what, Pastryheads, coats can make you look great as long as you know how to wear them. Maybe Justine’s attitude helped her to look great although as you might have seen, it must be cold that day they trained Pal!

As previously reported by PastryShoesCollection.com, JoJo Simmons was arrested earlier this year due to illegal possession of marijuana. The Team Blackout emcee and Vanessa and Angela Simmons’ little bro is again reported to have pleaded guilty to the charges of marijuana possession. JoJo will have to serve one day of community service.
There’s no word yet on what the community service will be or whether he’ll be doing it publicly like Naomi Campbell did, but maybe only one day isn’t going to be so bad, even relieving to know that he’s not going to jail or some sort. Just as long as he gets the point so that he never makes the same mistake.
Rev. Run and the rest of the Simmons family must be real proud to have JoJo man up to his actions. Any thoughts about this, Pastryheads?

So we all know that the Simmons family is one hard-working clan. But they’re really dynamic and although sometimes they are seen working behind desks, the Simmons are way flexible. After 6 seasons, you’ve probably noticed who works where and how, but let’s take a closer peek into their work spaces. First up: the career-driven Uncle Russell:
The man has a very masculine office. The dark wood finishes and the classic-looking furniture amazingly fit his modern style.
Next, if you watch last Monday’s episode of Run’s House, you’ll know that Rev. Run isn’t exactly an office material. However, during his very short time at the meeting room he turned into an office, he surrounded himself with loads of family pictures and some toys.
And finally he returned back to the house and as you can see, he only needs one big family picture on the wall there… because he’s surrounded by his family and that’s how he likes it!
Justine Simmons has a jewelry line called Brown Sugar by Justine Simmons and it’s doing really great. To get the inspirations, it’s only natural if she works on a comfy sofa near her walk-in closet.

Diggy Simmons works just about anywhere, but he’s mostly seen on his bed, with his laptop!
As for Russy and Miley, they play -and work at the same time. Don’t you just think they’re cute?
Remember when Russy washed a dirty ball in his dad’s jacuzzi? That was hilarious!
You think a 1 year-old can’t have her own pink kitchen? Think again! LOL. Speaking of pink, Vanessa and Angela Simmons might be away from home in LA, working on their Pastry shoes and filming their own reality show, Daddy’s Girls, but they have a real office and yes, it’s pink!
So Pastryheads, whose work space you most indentify yourself with?
Okay, we seriously have to talk about last Monday’s episode of Run’s House. In the fourth episode, Rev. Run and Justine missed Vanessa and Angela so much that they decided to trick the girls to come to NY from LA. But turned out that the girls were too tired and busy to even make cakes. Poor Rev and Justine. Meanwhile, Diggy went under a blogging craze and refused JoJo’s help in shooting a video of himself to put up in the blog, but the video turned out real cool and even got a thumbs up from Rev. Run.
In the fifth episode, Diggy asked his mom and dad for a mini fridge, while Russy showed off his tap dancing skills. Vanessa and Angela were so sweet hooking Russy up to a tap dancing class, and they even came to the class! JoJo helps Rev to babyproof the house as the professionals are too expensive. The Simmons family are really busy people. However, here are some notable moments from the two shows.
Diggy, the blogger. His lapotop is kinda cool with all those stickers.
Angela’s laptop is also bearing a cool Pastry skin. Wonder where she got that done, because it is awesome.
JoJo made a cool video about Diggy. Russy is in charge for audio and looked like he had some troubles hanging on to the boom mic. LOL.
Only the Simmons sisters can still look great when they’re tired.

But Rev. Run taught Diggy a lesson by locking his fridge with a chain around it. This is super hilarious! LOL!
Which moments do you remember most, Pastryheads?
You know you’re famous when people begin to call your name as you walk down the street. But you know you’re beyond famous when you get to tell people that a street is named after you. That’s the case with legendary hip hop group, Run DMC. You know, Vanessa and Angela Simmons’ dad, Rev. Run, was one of the founding members.
After many accomplishments (the last includes being inducted on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, earlier this year), Run DMC gets another honor from The New York City Council, as they just approved a new bill on June 20th that a major throughfare Run-DMC JMJ Way, in Hollis Queens, will be named after them. The bill was introduced by Deputy Majority Leader, Leroy Comrie, and once it’s signed by Mayor Michael Bloomberg, the corner of 205th Street and Hollis Avenue will be named by the legendary hip hop group. Being the first hip hop group to do many things and break many boundaries, they’re about to be the first hip hop group to have a major New York City street named after them.
Council Member Comrie told AllHipHop.com:
“Given their historic accomplishments, Run D.M.C. is a tremendous source of pride for the Hollis community I represent. Their dedication and hard work has inspired countless others and they have given back generously to this community. Most recently, Mr. McDaniels donated numerous memorabilia for the establishment of the Hollis Hip Hop Museum, which is located in the Hollis Famous Burger establishment on 203rd Street and Hollis Avenue.â€
This street-renaming thing is also a move to revitalize the Hollis, Queens community with new business. Council Member Comrie also stated:
“I have chosen the 205th Street location because it is in proximity to the museum and also is the site of a famous mural of the group’s late member, Mr. Mizell. It is my sincere hope that this street renaming, combined with the museum, will help to economically revitalize this particular neighborhood as a potential tourism attraction.”
There you have it, Pastry Fans. They might seem silly on their Run’s House show, but the Simmons family are indeed a family to be proud of. And the moral of the story here is really don’t be satisfied when you’re just famous. Be glad, humble and thankful when you’re a true legend.
